CLASSICAL JAPANESE DANCE

Kuniko Kanawa has studied Hanayagi-ryu classical Japanese dance for seven years under the greatest guidance by the departed Mme. Wakana Hanayagi-sensei. She was most humbled and honored for several invitations to become Natori (obtaining the stage name), however, she was not financially ready back then, and sadly had to move to the other side of the continent shortly after.
When she moved, Wakana-sensei kindly suggested and approved her to continue dancing and performing as Kuniko Kanawa, without the Natori name. This meant a lot for her, and touched her heart very deeply. Since then, Kuniko continued to perform occasionally when she was requested.
With the strong base of classical Japanese dance, she also learned and performs Kagura Shintō sacred dance, and also humbly receives guidance by Mme. Yokohama Fukumaru sensei, a Geisha in Yokohama.
Please inquire to request the performance for Japanese theme events as entertainment or education purposes.
